
Rajshahi: Rajshahi City unit Chhatra League has decided to expel six of its leaders and activists following Tuesday's infighting city's Nawdapara area.
The unit has already put forward a recommendation in this regard to its central committee, said a press release on Thursday.
City unit BCL president Rocky Kumar Ghosh and general secretary Mahmud Hasan Rajib signed the press release.
The accused six are :- City unit BCL organising secretary Muktadir Ali Nur Masud, Rajshahi College unit joint secretary Rabiul Islam Robin and organizing secretary Al Wasiul Mamun and Shah Makhdum Thana unit activists Danial Sarkar, Tushar and Safi.
Mahmud Hasan Rajib, general secretary of Rajshahi City unit BCL told that they recommended the central committee to expel the leaders and activists for violating party discipline.
Earlier, two BCL groups equipped with sharp weapons locked into a clash over establishing supremacy near Zia Park of Rajshahi's Nawdapara area on Tuesday that left at least four activists injured.
