Shadow UN convention begins at RU

Rajshahi: A four-day 'Shadow United Nations Convention-2018' began at Rajshahi University (RU) on Thursday.

Rajshahi University Model United Nations (RUMUN) organised the convention titled 'Preventing inhumanity to expand world peace'.

Former RU Vice-chancellor Professor M Sayeedur Rahman Khan, also former Bangladesh High Commissioner in the UK, attended the programme as chief guest.

Sayeedur Rahman asked the students to get united in resolving various problems like Rohingya crisis, women repression and rape.

He hoped that the RUMUN will teach how to resolve global problems.

Over 300 participants from different parts of the country joined the convention.
