RU pharmacy department celebrates silver jubilee, 1st alumni

Rajshahi: The pharmacy department of Rajshahi University on Saturday celebrated its 25th anniversary, and first alumni reunion amid enthusiasm and festivity.

Former and current teachers, students and staff of the department brought out a colourful procession on the campus in this morning to mark the day.

Later, a discussion meeting was held at Shaheed Sukha Ranjan Samadder Teacher-Student Cultural Centre at 11am.

RU pro-vice chancellor Professor Ananda Kumar Saha addressed the progoramme as chief guest while Bangladesh Pharmacy Council vice president Professor M Mosaddek Hossain attended as alumni reunion speaker.

Bangladesh Pharmacy Council vice president Professor Md Anwar Ul Islam, pharmacy department founding chairman Prof Md Ekramul Haque and the department teacher Prof Md Abdul Gafur, among others, were present at the meeting presided over by the department chair Prof Md Aktar Uzzaman Chowduri.
