Police arrested a suspected member of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Rajshahi city on Sunday night.
Members of Charghat Police Station arrested him with the help of Rajshahi Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) police.
The arrested person was identified as Shahidul Islam, 36, son of Mohammad Ali of Shreepur village of Bagmara upazilla. Shahiudul is an accused in a case filed under counter-terrorism act with Charghat Police Station.
Assistant Superintendent of Rajshahi police Abdur Razzak Khan said Shahidul is an accused of a number of cases with Bagmara, Puthia and Charghat Police Station on terrorism charges.
