Two outsider drug addicts detained on RU campus

Two outsider young men were nabbed and handed to police while they were taking drugs in Rajshahi University (RU) campus.

They were arrested from Shaheed Habibur Rahman ground at 8:00 pm on Friday.

The arrested persons were identified as Minhajul Islam, son of Ismail Hossain of the Upashahor area and Alif, son of Akbar Ali of Jinnanagar area of the city.

Witnesses said Ismail and Alif were taking drugs on the university campus at around 7:30 pm. At that time the Proctor of RU and police arrested them red handed.

Motihar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahadat Hossain said, two outsiders have been arrested and brought to the police station on charge of taking drugs. Legal action will be taken against them.
