Khagrachhari District Corruption Prevention Committee (KDCPC) has observed corruption prevention week, a programme announced by Anti-Corruption Commission aiming to create mass awareness among people against corruption.
KDCPC has observed numerous programme from March 26 to April 01, this month.
KDCPC has given floral wreath on the Swadhinata Smritisoudha at the early morning on March 26 while Satata Sangha, student body of KDCPC has took part on the parade at Khagrachhari stadium on same day as a part of Independence Day celebration.
KDCPC has organized a views exchange meeting with Marma communities leaders on March 27, last month for cresting awareness among Marma community.
KDCPC has organized an essay competition at high school level on April 28, last month with a title “Corruption in Bangladesh and its Prevention” where around 100 students from 15-different high schools took part.
KDCPC members were awarded by ACC at Chittagong Zilla Shilpakala Academy on March 29, for its best performances in Chittagong division in 2016-2017 FY.
KDCPC has organized a discussion with Bangladesh Red Crescent Youth, Khagrachari unit and Blood donors association’s members on April 30, last month aiming to creating awareness among youth section.
On March 31, KDCPC has organised a motorcycle rally in Khagrachhari town, last month. The motorbikes procession paraded main roads of the hill town chanting slogans against corruption.
On April 1, a discussion and prize giving ceremony was organized at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, where Additional Divisional Commissioner (Development) Nurul Alam Nizami attended as chief guest.
Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission Md Shafiqur Rahman Bhuiyan, Deputy Commissioner Md Rashedul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner ATM Kousar Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Salauddin, KDCPC President Sudarsan Dutta, its General Secretary Advocate Jasim Uddin Majumder, its Vice President Dulal Hossain, Khagrachhari Government High School headmaster Srela Talukder, Khagrachhari Government Girl’s High School headmaster Sagorika Chakma, Natunkuri Cantonment High School headmaster Rusdina Akhter Zahan Leena spoke, among others.
Later prizes were distributed among 13 students, who became winners in essay competitions.
