The authorities of Rajshahi University has selected 12 students of the Arts Faculty for the ‘Dean’s Award-2018'.
Students achieved outstanding results in BA honours examination in 2016 will receive the award, said RU Arts Faculty dean Professor FMAH Taqui in a press conference held at the university deans’ complex on Wednesday.
Taqui said RU vice-chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan as the chief guest will distribute award among the recipients at a ceremony scheduled for April 26.
RU Pro-vice Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha and Treasurer Prof AKM Mostafizur Rahman will address the ceremony as special guests, Prof Taqui added.
The awardees are : Sima Khatun of Philosophy dept, Syed Naimur Rahman Sohel of History, Irtifa Hasan of English, Monju Rani Das of Bangla, Jannati Kownain Keya of Islamic History and Culture, Mohammad Abul Futuh of Arabic, Md Asraful Islam of Islamic Studies, Joyshree Pal of Music, Jint Ara Gulsana Marzia of Theatre, Kabita Aktar of Persian, Nazrina Aktar of Sanskrit and Nur Mohammad of Urdu department.
