Police detained three drug dealers with 2500 pieces yaba tablets and three liters of liquor from Rajshahi and Puthia.
The detainees are identified as Gulzar Hossainm, 35, his alleged wife Rafia Khatun, 25, and Ali Hossen, 60.
Officer-in-charge of Kashiadanga Police Station Robiul Islam said, on Friday night, at around 10:30 pm, the operation was carried out at a house in Gurdipara area under Kashiadanga PS of the city.
2500 pieces Yaba was recovered from Gulzar Hossain and his alleged wife. The detainee Gulzar Hossain said he was a suspended member of the BGB 34 Battalion.
Meanwhile, police has detained a drug peddler with 3 liters of liquor from Baneshwar Purbopara area under Puthia upazila in Rajshahi on Saturday noon.
The detainee was identified as Ali Hossen, 60, of the same area.
Shakil Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Puthia police station, said, police conducted a drive in that area on the basis of a secret information and detained the drug peddler with 3 liters of liquor.
A case will be filed against the detainees under narcotics control act, OC added.
