A minor boy reportedly died in Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital as a litchi seed got stuck in his throat in Rajshahi on Sunday.
Deceased Mahmud, one-and-a-half-year old, was a son of Masud of Sagarpara area under Boalia police station.
The family said Mahmud's uncle came to their home taking some litchi on Saturday. The boy swallowed a litchi, but its seed got stuck in his throat, resulting in difficulty to breathe.
He was rushed to the RMC hospital. The baby died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
