Two people, including a child, were killed by lightning strikes in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Md Abdullah, 7, son of Abdul Gani of village Chandola under Mohanpur union, and Salim, 30, son of Moyed Ali of Shimla village.
The injured were identified as Khaibur Rahman, 36, son of Obeyur Rahman, and Krishan Shil, son of Nagen of Shimla village.
Godagari upazila administration sources said thunderbolt hit Abdullah while playing in the courtyard of his house at 1.10 pm.
At the same time, Khaibur Rahman was killed in lightning strikes while working in the field.
