2 arrested with 160 bottles phensedyl

Police arrested two men with 160 bottles phensedyl from Puthia bus stand of Rajshahi on Saturday night.

The arrestees were identified as truck driver Anarul Islam, 25, son of Moglu of Rasunpur village in Shibganj upazilla of Chapainawabganj and his assistant Rony, 21, son of Abdul Khalek of the same village.

Shakil Uddin Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Puthia police station, said a team of Puthia police conducted an operation led by ASI Iftekhar and arrested the truck driver and helper with 160 bottles phensedyl. The truck has also been seized.

A case will be filed against the arrestees, the OC added.
