Border Guard Battalion (BGB) members arrested a youth alongwith a foreign pistol in Charkhanpur area under Motihar thana in Rajshahi city on Friday afternoon.
The arrested man is identified as Nayeem Islam, 24, son of Akkas Ali, a resident of Dasapukur Bubazar area under Rajpara thana, BGB confirmed this through a press release.
In this incident, Ananta Mia, 24, and Al Amin, 25, escaped of Chandipur area of Rajpara police station.
According to the press release, Nayeem was arrested while BGB was patrolling in Charkhanpur area.
They seized a foreign pistol, two magazines, five bullets, a mobile phone set and one thousand cash from his possession.
A case was filed with Motihar Police Station in this connection.
