Police arrested two women drug traders along with150 bottles of Phensedyl in Rajshahi Charghat area around 3pm on Friday.
The arrestees were identified as Kimajan Begum, 30, wife of Taslim Islam of Charghat Yusufpur Shifaipara area and Beli begum, 50, wife of Riaz of Katakhali Chakbelgharia area.
Sources said a battery-powered van was going to the Arani station with 150 bottles of Phensedyl at around 3pm. On secret information, SI Moshiur, ASI Zubair, and a group of police led by OC Nazrul Islam arrested the women peddlers with Phensedyl.
Officer-in-Charge of Charghat Police Station Nazrul Islam said that two female drug peddlers along with Phensedyl were arrested. They will be prosecuted in court with a lawsuit under the Narcotics Control Act of 1990.
