A young man was killed in a road accident in Rajshahi Godagari at around 1pm on Monday. This accident took place in Godagari Habaspur Raghur Mor area.
The deceased was identified as Sagar, 20, son of Akkash Ali Kalu of Mollapara village of Tajendrapur area under Godagari upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Godagari police station Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter.
He said a rice-laden truck coming from Mollapara to Godagari, rammed a tree, leaving the driver and his friend Sagar who came to visit him seriously injured.
Later, local people rescued him and rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Sagar died on way to hospital, added the OC.
The OC also said that the body was handed over to the family.
