Godagari Model Police arrested top narcotics businessman in Rajshahi at Godagari municipal Town Fire Service Station area on Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Shahidul Islam Bhodol, a resident of Mohishalbari area at Godagari upazila.
Godagari Model Police Station Officer- In-Charge (OC) Mohammad Jahangir Alam said top drug dealer Shahidul Islam was arrested from his house in possession of 100 gram heroin at around 12.30 pm.
Local people said Shahidul Islam became a multi-millionaire as a drug dealer. He has two houses in Rajshahi city, 100 acres of cultivation land, bank balance billions of taka, and two cars. He is also involved in hundi business also.
The OC said a case was filed against Shahidul Islam with Godagari Model Police Station. There are cases against him with Poba Police Station and Mahadebpur Police Station in Naogaa district also.
