A mobile court has fined two people for ticket black marketing at Rajshahi Railway Station at around 10am on Sunday.
The convicts were identified as Kausar Ali, 38, a resident of Kaspasmul area under Paba upazila, and Hafizur Rahman, 26, of Shiroil Colony of the divisional city.
Kausar Ali was fined Tk 3000 or 15 days’ jail, in default. Hafizur Rahaman was sentenced to 30 days’ imprisonment. Rajshahi district administration's executive magistrate Anisur Rahman gave the verdict.
Earlier, police recovered five tickets from Kauser and four tickets from Hafizur.
Rajshahi district administration's executive magistrate Anisur Rahman said Kauser Ali was released after he paid Tk 300 fine. Hafizur Rahman was sent to jail.
The convicts were detained from the 5th ticket counter of Rajshahi Railway Station. So the ticket issuers were replaced with new people. Besides, the Rajshahi Railway will take action against him, he also said.
