Housewife commits suicide in Rajshahi city

A housewife reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Salbagan area under Chandrima police station of Rajshahi on Tuesday night.

Police has arrested her husband in this connection.

The housewife is identified as Shiuli Khatun, 16, wife of Samiul Bashar of Shalbagan area. She is the daughter of Maksalur Rahman of Nowdapara town.

Quoting her family members, Chandrima Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Humayun Kabir said she committed suicide over family dispute.

The reason behind the suicide could not be known.

The dead body of Shiuli was sent to Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) hospital for autopsy.
