Godagari people enjoying last moment Eid shopping

With only 3 days left before the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, people of Rajshahi’s Godagari upazila are passing their busy hours in their last time Eid shopping.

The shoppers are gathering at the shops in Godagari upazila to buy sari, three-piece, punjabi, shoe, cosmetics, vermicelli and others.

There are people of all ages including children, youth and elders choosing products, running from one shop to another to buy their favourite items.

At the beginning of Ramadan, the crowd of buyers was not seen, but after 15 days, all the markets and shopping malls are seen in hefty business.

From morning till late night, salesmen are busy displaying various types of clothes to the customers of their own preferences.

Many buyers complained that some traders made syndicate and sold Eid garment at a little higher price this year compared to last year.

All the markets in Godagari upazila including Dyeingpara bazaar and Kakonhat Market are seen in the overflowing crowd.

On the occasion of Eid, shopkeepers have decorated the shops with different products of new designs of native and foreign clothes for women and children. For example, Sari, Three-piece, Bashundhara Lehanga, Long Three Piece, Kotkoti, Fatwa, Boys 'Attractive Punjabi, Shirt, Chowch Pants, Long Sets, and different dresses for kids.

Rahi Mukul, and Champa, who came to buy punjabi and pants at Godagari Azad Super Market, said that they are happy to purchase clothes of their choice as per ability.

Abdul Bari Babu, a businessman of Azad Super Market, said that sale has increased since 15-16 of Ramadan. Today, the sale has been very well. However, women are buying sari, three pieces more.

Crowd of buyers has also been noticed on footpath shops.
