Hanging body recovered in Rajshahi city

A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house of Rajshahi city on Wednesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Shajahan Ali, 20, son of Ashraf Ali of Dashmari Hindupara area.

The victim's sister, Kanchan, said that the doors of the house were locked from inside. When they entered inside the house by breaking window, they found his hanging body.

Officer-in-Charge of Motihar Police Station (OC) Shahadat Hossain Khan said the body was recovered on information. It is initially thought that Shajahan committed suicide. After the autopsy, the cause behind the death can be known.
