Four people were injured as supporters of Argentina and Brazil clashed over football argument in the Fire Service area of Rajshahi city on Thursday night.
The injured were treated at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital from where police detained them over the incident.
Witnesses said, Brazilian supporters Aulia, Rakib and Sohel beat Argentina supporter Nobel during the clash between the supporters of the Latin American teams over an argument after Messy’s team conceded a humiliating defeat Thursday night.
Nobel, son of Belal from Hossiniganj area of the city, was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College (RMCH). Doctor said Noble received injuries in the right arm and throat.
Brazilian supporters Aulia, Rakib and Sohel were also injured during the clash and were admitted to RMCH. Boalia police arrested the Brazilian supporters as well as Nobel from the hospital.
