Pregnant woman killed in road accident

Victim Razia Sultana Jharna, 26, was a resident of Sultanganj Kabutarpara in the upazila, said Godagari Model Police Station assistant sub-inspector Ahsan Habib.

A truck rammed into a battery-run auto-rickshaw on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj road in Sluice Gate area around 1:00pm, leaving the auto-rickshaw passenger Jharna critically injured.

She was rushed to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead, the ASI added.
