Police detained a leader and an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami in Rajshahi on Saturday night.
The detainee leader was identified as Mohammad Wahed Ali, 35, son of Saqur Ali of Govindapur village under Yusufpur Union of Charghat upazila.
He is Jamaat labour affairs secretary of Charghat upazila and former student affairs secretary of Rajshahi city unit.
Charghat Model Police Station OC Nazrul Islam said that on secret information on Saturday, a team of police led by OC Nazrul islam raided Wahed’s house and detained him.
He was sent to jail through court, in connection with a sabotage case, the OC confirmed.
The detainee Jamaat activist was identified as Aminul Islam Bablu, 58, of Rajshahi city.
