A woman was killed in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi in a road accident around 4 pm on Wednesday.
Deceased Harizan Begum, 42, wife of Khalilur Rahman, was a resident of Baneshwar Khutipara area under the upazila.
Quoting the local sources, Belpukur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Md Golam Mustafa said that Harizan was going to her father's house at Bharuapara village of Belpukur union from Baneshwar area in a human hauler (Ema).
She fell down on the road while she was getting down from the running vehicle, leaving her critically head injured. She died after being taken to Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) hospital.
A case has been filed in this regard, said OC.
