RCC election: Liton, Bulbul exchange greeting after Jumaa

Awami League-backed and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-supported Rajshahi city mayoral candidates exchanged greetings with the devotees and local people after the holy Jumaa prayers in different areas of the city.

AL-backed AHM Khairuzzaman Liton attended Jumaa prayer at Darul Hadis University (Pvt) mosque in the city's Nodapara area on Friday noon.

After the prayer, Liton exchanged greetings with the visiting devotees. Then he exchanged pleasantries with the people of different classes around the mosque.

Later, Khairuzzaman Liton went to Nawdapara Al Markajul Islamic Salafi Madrasa. He inquired about the condition of the madrasa from the teachers.

BNP-supported mayoral candidate Mosaddeque Hossain Bulbul exchanged greetings with the people of city's Kajla area. After the Jumaa prayers at Kajla Bar mosque on Friday, and exchange greetings with the worshipers of the mosque.

In a short speech, Bulbul said he was able to serve the people only 26 months. This government kept him away from the city without being subjected to laws, leaving the city corporation out of service, he alleged.
