BNP mayor candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul made mass contacts with the peoples of ward-10 on Wednesday.
He took part in mass contact at Kashiadanga, Adubari, Kathalbariya, Shaijipara, Harupur, Saergachha, Raipara, Purbopara, Goljarbagh, Purapara, Munshipara, Horgram and Pir Saheb Para in the ward from 8am to noon. He asked the voters to vote for his symbol 'sheaf of paddy'.
During the programme, Bulbul told reporters, "The government removed our posters, banners and festoons. Awami League candidates’ posters, banners and festoons have been hung all over the city overnight. No place for hanging our posters.”
Bulbul said the administration has also harassed his supporters threatening them not to go to the polling booth. The voters are pressured to vote for the 'Boat' symbol. Nevertheless, he hopes to win by 70,000 votes if there is a fair and inclusive election.
Among others, BNP Chairperson's advisor and former mayor and parliament member Mizanur Rahman Minu, general secretary of city BNP Advocate Shafiqul Haq Milon, Rajpara thana BNP president Shawkat Ali, general secretary Ali Hossain, ward BNP president Haji Shahid Alam were also present during the mass contact program.
