A housewife was killed in a road accident on Tanore upazila-Amanura road at Jugihso Mor in Tanore upazila of Rajshahi on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Marzina Khatun, 23, daughter of Karim Uddin, a resident of Jugihso village of the upazila.
Police said, the housewife was returning to her father’s house from her house in Bherasia village of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
Marzina got down a bus then another bus hit her from left side. She died on the spot and her two-year-old son who fell down on the ground.
Tanore Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Islam said police seized the bus and arrested bus driver, Selim Uddin, 35. He was sent to jail.
The body was handed over to the family after autopsy. A case was filed with the Tanore Police Station, added the OC.
