OC, SI injured during villagers’ clash

At least 7 people, including an OC, an SI and two constables, were injured in a clash between two groups over fishing at Joker Bill at Bagmara uapzila in Rajshahi on Friday.

The injured were Bagmara Police OC Nasim Ahmed, SI Daiyan Sahin, two constables Momin and Prodip, confirmed the OC himself.

The OC said there was a clash between two groups of villagers over fishing in the water body around at 9:30 am today, as a consequence of the death of a man in a clash between the same groups two months ago.

On information, police went there immediately and fired 15 rounds bullets to handle the situation, added the OC.
