No arrest without warrant: EC

Election Commissioner (EC) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury on Tuesday ordered that no one can be arrested without any warrant or conviction.

He came with this comment while speaking at a meeting held in the city on Tuesday.

The law enforcers to remain vigilant to prevent violence in the upcoming Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) election, he added.

Chaired by Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Noor-ur-Rahman, the meeting was addressed, by Election Commission secretary Helaluddin Ahmed. Rajshahi administration and law enforcement officials were also present at the meeting.
