Police arrested four female activists of Jamaat-e-Islami in court station area in Rajshahi city on Wednesday.
The detainees were Asma Aziz, 52, wife of Mousa, resident of Hargagram Purbapara, Selina Begum, 40, wife of Shahidul Islam Pintu, of Hargagram College area, Monwara Begum, 45, wife of Ashraful Haque of Hargram Ranidighi area, Moina Begum, 25, wife of Moshiur Rahman Mithu, of Eastern Mollapara.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rabiul Islam, said they were working against Khairuzzaman Liton while campaigning for Jamaat councilors. We held them after getting the news.
A case was filed against them in this connection, said Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ali.
