Man found dead under Hardinge Bridge

A fertilizer trader was found dead early on Wednesday after a day he went missing in Tanore upazila of Rajshahi.

The body was found in the Padma River under the Hardinge Bridge of Ishwardi in Pabna.

The dead was identified as Shahjahan Ali, 50, son of late Javed Ali of Sivarampur village under Tanore upazila and a fertilizer trader of Tanore upazila.

Tanore police officer in-charge Rezaul Islam said Shahjahan was missing from July 15. On 17 July, his son filed a general diary.

His body was buried in Pabna as unidentified. The body of Shahjahan Ali will be exhumed through due process. Preparations for filing a murder case are underway in this regard, the OC added.
