Pass and GPA-5 rate decreased in Rajshahi board

The pass rate decreased by 4.79 percent in Higher Secondary Certificate examinations under Rajshahi Education Board comparing to last year.

This year's pass rate in HSC examination stood at 66.51 percent which was 71.30 percent last year.

Not only that, the number of GPA-5 also decreased to 4,138 this year. It was 5,294 in the previous year.

The Exam Controller Anwarul Haque told this at the press conference in the conference room of the Rajshahi Education Board at 2pm on Thursday.

There were 1,41,278 students this year. Of them, a total of 1,39,330 students attended the exams. HSC examinations were conducted at 189 centers.

Last year's number was 1,24,182. The number of candidates increased by 17,096 this year. Girls have done better than the boys.
