Police on Monday arrested three muggers on charge of snatching the purse of an Indian national studying in Rajshahi Barind Medical College, and also recovered her bag from the snatchers.
The arrested are Hafizul Islam Bappi, 21, a resident of Kairdara area under Boalia police station, Maminul Islam Hridoy, 20, of Dashpukur (Latapara) area under Rajpara PS and Al Amin Rabbi, 19, a resident of Baharampur area.
Metropolitan Police spokesman and Assistant Police Commissioner Ifte Khayer Alam said this on Tuesday afternoon in a press release.
According to the press release, earlier on Jun 28, at around 11:30 pm, the three unknown motorcyclists snatched a purse of Nadia Shafiq, a 3rd year student of Rajshahi Barind Medical College from the Padma Residential area of the city.
