Amid the festivity of Rajshahi city corporation (RCC) elections today (Monday), travelers, specially, who came to Rajshahi by train suffered in the absence of city transport.
Someone went away on foot and some people rented vans towards destination. The city roads were empty since morning.
Mir Sabbir, a passenger from Chapainawabganj said he could not assume that there would be no vehicle during the polls. He was in fix how to get to home.
Another passenger from Chuadanga, Latif Mandal, said, “I have been walking from the station. There is no vehicle.”
Shoppers were trapped due to lack of vehicles. There was problem in getting any vehicles to collect essential product from the market, and there are no vehicles to return from the market also.
