Rajpara police arrested leader of Chandipur ‘Rubel Bahini’, who was involved in the attack on the police vehicle during the city corporation election on July 30 in the city of Rajshahi.
He was arrested from Baharampur area under Rajpara police station of the city on Thursday morning.
The arrestee as Rubel, 35, a resident of Baharampur area of Rajpara and head of Rubel Bahini in Chandipur area of the city, Rajpara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.
A case was filed with Rajpara Police Station on July 30 in connection with the police vehicle vandalism during RCC election.
Rubel will be sent to jail through the court, added OC.
