Equal Rights Organisation, a voluntary platform of Rajshahi University, distributed the cloths among the distressed children and women on Friday.
Around 50 underprivileged children and women from the university and its adjacent areas including Binodpur and the railway station received the cloths at a programmee held at the University’s Rabindra Bhaban.
President of the organisation Raj Kiron Das chaired the distribution ceremony while general secretary Anamika Saha Nupur conducted it.
Besides, the organisation’s advisers- Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar Tapu of Geology and Mining, Professor Biswanath Sikdar of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, public relation office administrator Professor Provash Kumar Karmakar of Statistics, Assistant Professor Fazlul Haque of Economics and RU unit Pahari Chhatra Parishad president Dipon Chakma, addressed the occasion, among others.
It is noted that, Equal Rights Organisation launched its journey at the University campus on last July 20 in 2018 with the slogan of “Sammer Sandhane Amra”.
