A police official died of cardiac arrest in Bangladesh Police Academy at Sardah in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi district on Saturday morning.
Deceased Arman Ali, 65, served as assistant sub-inspector at Armed Police Battalion (APBN)-5 in Dhaka, said Sahabuddin Ahmed, senior assistant superintendent of Bangladesh Police Academy (Sardah).
The police official said Arman joined the training course on section leadership on August 12. Today he suddenly fell on the ground during training.
Instantly he was taken to Bangladesh Police Academy (Sardah) hospital, and later he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
The body was sent to his village home in Godagari upazila in Rajshahi after completion of his autopsy, the police official added.
