Eid holidaymakers crowded the Padma River bank for pleasure and entertainment though there is no more wave in the rising water of the river.
From the beginning of this Eid vacation, visitors stayed on the bank of the river from morning till night.
On the five kilometer embankment, from Panchabati to Bulanpur in Rajshahi city, there is buzz of youth, laughter and movement, and roaming on small boats in the river.
Iqbal Hossain, who came to Padmapar (Padma bank) on Saturday afternoon, said there was rain on the second day, and his family could not get out for hanging out. “We are enjoying the peaceful air sitting on the banks of the river.”
Mousumi Akhter, a housewife, said, “I came here with my child to enjoy the scenic beauty on the bank of the river. People have made a festival environment here.”
The Padmapar has been on top of the list of entertainment spots in Rajshahi liked by children and the older people as well.
