Rajshahi city BNP office in Bhuban Mohan Park area have been vandalized at around 12pm on Monday over selecting new six thana committees and three college committees of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD).
Earlier, on Sunday noon, the activists, who have been deprived of posts, locked the party office in protest against the declaration of the new committees.
At the time, they demanded withdrawal of the new committees. They alleged that the credibility of JCD has been downed as incompetents have been brought to the posts without informing anyone of the matter.
Emdadul Haque Limon, general secretary of the new JCD committee of the City College, said the leaders found the party office locked on Monday morning. Later they broke the lock and entered into the office and new eight units’ meetings were held. The presidents and general secretaries of eight units were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the former student leaders and who are willing to join Jubo Dal attacked on the activists of our newly formed committees. At this time, they vandalized the party office windows.
Rajpara Thana JCD General Secretary Ratul, Chadrima Thana president Hafizur Rahman and Shahmakhdum Thana general secretary beat them up. Many were injured in the attack, he said.
