BCL leader goes missing while bathing in Padma

A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Godagari municipality went missing while bathing in Padma River at Godagari of Rajshahi on Monday afternoon.

The missing, Ishaq Ali, 23, office secretary of Ward no. 1 BCL unit of Godagari municipality and son of Ashraful, is a resident of Achuabhata (Butcher Para) in the municipal area.

He is a first-year student of Godagari Government Degree College as well as a tiles setting worker.

BCL leader Kamal Hossain said, Ishaq went to take a bath in Padma River around 5pm on Monday. But he could not swim ashore due strong current.

Locals tried to rescue him floating boats, but could not find any trace till 6:30 pm.

Godagari fire service has been informed of this matter.
