Water level in Padma going up

The water level in Padma River at Rajshahi has increased three centimeters in the last 24 hours.

Enamul Haque, water analyst at the Rajshahi Water Development Board, said water is increasing every day in Rajshahi area.

Padma water was 16.75 centimeters above the danger level on Monday, 16.83 centimeters on Tuesday, 16.90 on Wednesday and 19.94 centimeters above yesterday.

On Thursday afternoon, in the T-bandh area of the city, boatmen said the middle chars in the river were submerged. The owners of the grazing cows and buffaloes took away the cattle for safety.

Many people are in river cruise by boat after increasing of the Padma water. The boatmen said their business is running good.
