5,000 eggs damaged in Rajshahi city road crash

Five thousand eggs were damaged after being hit by a car in Rajshahi city on Sunday morning.

A speeding microbus hit an eggs-laden rickshaw van in New Market area of the city around 11.00 am, leaving 5000 eggs worth Tk 45,000-48,000 damaged, said Rahidul, an eggs trader.

The van driver was injured in the accident and given first aid.

Mansur Rahman, sub-inspector of Shiroil Police check post confirmed the matter.
