Elderly man drowns in pond

An elderly man drowned in a pond at Kathalbaria village in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Majid Ali, 70, a resident of the village, local sources said.

The man slipped into the pond and drowned when he went to collect ducks around 11:30am.
