JL leader held with Yaba

Police arrested a Jubo League (JL) leader alongwith 250 Yaba pills from Puthia upazila in Rajshahi on Sunday evening.

Belpukur Police Station SI Shariful Islam said Zakir Hossain, 25, son of Nizam Uddin of Devibpur village in Durgapur upazila, was held in Agla area. He is a member of the JL executive committee.

The SI said 250 Yaba tablets were recovered after searching his body.

A case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act.
