Couple held with Yaba pills

Detective Branch (DB) of police have detained a couple alongwith 900 Yaba pills from a house at Uposohor area in Rajshahi city early Thursday.

The detained couple are identified as Monwarul Hasan Rassel, 35, and his wife Mariam Khatun, 31,and his wife Mariam Khatun, 28, residents of Toltala in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi.

Abdullah Al Mamun, deputy police commissioner of DB, said on secret information, a team of DB raided the house in the area on Wednesday midnight and detained the duo with the Yaba pills.

The couple are involved in drug trading for a long time.
