An auto-rickshaw driver was stabbed to death by muggers at Dabtola area in Rajshahi city early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Munna Sheikh, 42, a resident of Fettapara area.
Quoting the victim's family members, police said muggers waylaid Munna when he was returning home with his auto-rickshaw early hours.
They stabbed Munna, leaving him critically injured.
Munna, later, told the incident to his wife Salma over phone and Salma informed to police.
Being informed police went to the spot and recovered the body of Munna, Shahmukhdum Police Station OC Masud Parvez said.
The body, which bore eight injury marks, was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue, the OC said.
