Ministry against this year's PEC exams

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has proposed not to hold this year's Primary Education Completion (PEC) examination due to coronavirus pandemic.

The Ministry's Senior Secretary M Akram- Al-Hossain informed media that
the proposal was forwarded to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Wednesday.

If the proposal is approved, then this year's primary scholarship based on the students' PEC results would not be distributed.

The ministry has taken another plan to take the final exams in the schools based on short syllabus. The implementation of the plan depends on the coronavirus situation.

Meanwhile, the education ministry still could not clear its position over holding the JSC exams.
