Sinha murder: OC Pradeep, 2 other accused on 3-day fresh remand

Suspended OC Pradeep, Inspector Liakat and SI Nanda  Dulal Rakshit have again been placed on a three-day remand by a court in Cox's Bazar  in Major (Retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder case.

Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah placed each of the three accused on three-day remand.

They were produced before the court on Friday afternoon. The RAB investigation officer pleaded to the court to place them on remand again.

At that time, OC Pradeep's lawyer Ahsanul Huq pleaded to the court to grant bail to his client. After the hearing the court placed each of the three accused on a three-day remand.

Earlier, the three accused were taken to remand twice--for seven days and four days.

It may be mentioned that at about 10:30pm on July 31, Major (Retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing at Shamlapur checkpost of Baharchhara union on Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.
