Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) President Bangabeer Kader Siddique told Khaleda Zia on Thursday that though he responded positively to the call of the BNP chief for a national unity against militancy and terrorism, his party would not join any alliance, if Jamaat-E-Islami was there.
The veteran freedom fighter made the warning while talking to reporters after a closed door meeting with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda Zia is set to start the process of forging a national unity amid holding a meeting with KSJL chief Kader Siddique.
The meeting was held at the BNP chief's Gulshan residence on Thursday to discuss the existing situation of the country and to identify next course of action to forge a national unity to fight against militants. Along with BNP chief, its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee member Tariqul Islam, Vice-Chairmen Abdullah Al Noman and Maj (Retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed were present.
