Probe body submits report to Home Ministry

The home ministry-formed high-powered investigation committee has submitted its report to the Home Ministry.

The committee chief Mizanur Rahman submitted the report to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at 12:30pm on Monday.

Lt Col SM Sazzad Hossain, the committee member, accompanied him.

On July 31 night, Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing at a checkpost at Shamlapur area under Baharchhara union along the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.

Later, his sister filed a case where she made Baharchhara Investigation Centre's Inspector Liakat Ali as prime accused and Teknaf Police Station OC as the accused number two. Besides, seven more policemen were made accused in the case.
