Ex-DGHS office assistant Abzal sent to jail

A Dhaka Court on Monday sent Health Directorate's former clerk Abzal Hossain to jail in two graft cases.

Dhaka Metropolitan senior special judge KM Imrul Kayesh sent him jail today after ending Abzal's second time remand of seven days.

On September 2, the same court granted 14-day remand for Abzal in the two cases filed over amassing Tk 36 crore.

Later on September 20, he was sent to jail in one case.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the cases at its Integrated District Office-1 of Dhaka on June 27 of 2019.
